BJP Launches “Swachh Kalimpong Sewa” to Mark PM Modi’s Historic Milestone Kalimpong, June 13: To celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi becoming the longest-serving Prime Minister of India and the completion of 12 years of BJP-led governance at the Centre, a large-scale cleanliness drive titled “Swachh Kalimpong Sewa” was organized in Kalimpong on Friday. Addressing the gathering, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista said the initiative was a tribute to Prime Minister Modi’s dedication and service to the nation. He emphasized that the campaign was not merely a one-day cleanliness drive but the beginning of a broader vision for a “Clean and Green Darjeeling Hills, Terai and Dooars.” Bista appealed to residents to actively participate in future cleanliness and environmental campaigns across the region. He announced that BJP units from Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Siliguri would regularly organize such activities in collaboration with local citizens. The MP also thanked the people for their continued support to the BJP and highlighted the party’s commitment to the development of West Bengal under the leadership of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. He reiterated that the government would work towards the overall progress of the Darjeeling Hills, Terai and Dooars while preserving the region’s culture, traditions and ecological balance. Several volunteers and Nirmal Saathis participated in the cleanliness drive, which concluded with a call for sustained public involvement in maintaining a cleaner and greener environment.
